Rainbow of Hope Texas provides a safe, healthy, and nature-filled environment conducive to the learning, growing, and development of relationships between humans and the land, water and animals.
Through recreational and educational opportunities, the lives of participants with physical, emotional, mental, or developmental challenges are enriched.
We believe programs experienced on a farm or ranch in the midst of nature will shape skills, develop confidence, provide life lessons, and even inspire dreams. Patience, problem-solving, responsibility, and creativity, to name a few, are all valuable skills needed in life.
The focused routine of a farm schedule with the relaxed, peaceful environment allows individuals with special needs to comfortably adapt to their surroundings and to enjoy time with families.
With Equine Assisted Therapy at the core, we offer the healing qualities of human-animal bonding. This creates opportunities for youth with broad spectrum Autistic disorders to experience the documented benefits of learning from the land and animals in a calm setting of unconditional acceptance and love.
Each youth and family is unique, and at Rainbow of Hope Texas we work with them to develop a customized plan of goals, challenges, issues to address, and skills to develop. Activities range from art to food preparation, horse care & riding, and communication skills to physical fitness just to name a few.
