Ann Henderson, a visionary driven by empathy and a deep-seated belief in the transformative power of nature, envisioned Rainbow of Hope Texas as more than just a program—it's a lifeline for its participants. With a background in education and a heart dedicated to special needs communities, Ann, alongside her husband Jack, who brings his expertise in agriculture and animal husbandry, established this haven where individuals can thrive.
At Rainbow of Hope Texas, the Hendersons have cultivated an environment where the healing bond between humans and animals forms the cornerstone of their therapeutic approach. Through Equine Assisted Therapy, youth with broad spectrum Autistic disorders and military veterans find solace and growth in the unconditional acceptance and love offered by the gentle creatures that roam their ranch.

Rainbow of Hope has served almost 200 young adults with special needs and veterans from Brazoria county since its inception in 2020!
Rainbow of Hope Texas provides a safe, healthy, and nature-filled environment conducive to the learning, growing, and development of relationships between humans, the land, water, and animals. Through recreation and educational opportunities, the lives of participants with physical, emotional, mental, or developmental challenges are enriched. We believe programs experienced on a farm or ranch in the midst of nature will shape skills, develop confidence, provide life lessons, and even inspire dreams. Patience, problem-solving, responsibility, and creativity, to name a few, are all valuable skills needed in life. The focused routine of a farm schedule with the relaxed, peaceful environment allows individuals with special needs to comfortably adapt to their surroundings and to enjoy time with families. With Equine Assisted Therapy at the core, we offer the healing qualities of human-animal bonding. This creates opportunities for young adults with broad spectrum Autistic disorders as well as military veterans to experience the documented benefits of learning from the land and animals in a calm setting of unconditional acceptance and love.
